The Labor Market and Integration Unit, AMI, at Arvika Municipality continues to work to help even more individuals establish themselves in the labor market and thus gain the opportunity for self-sufficiency.

We are now preparing for the upcoming activity requirement that will come into force.

We are looking for two employment consultants as some colleagues move on to other assignments. You will be part of our team where we together have the mission to help more residents of Arvika into work or studies. Perhaps you are the one we are looking for?

Within AMI, there are two units that work with adults and youth respectively and have a close collaboration.

Responsibilities

You will be an important person for Arvika Municipality to help even more individuals find and retain a job. As a labor market consultant, you will guide individuals within AMI's own service operations. In Arvika, we work, among other things, to run Arvika Municipality's second-hand store Miljömyran, its workshop, the municipal car wash, various cleaning assignments, and Fritidsbanken. You will help drive these operations together with the participants at AMI. The position includes work supervision of labor market employees, individuals in work training, and internships.

Guiding principles for our approach at AMI: We strive for all people who come to us to feel welcome and seen. We have a good reception, are curious, and have an approach where we show that we have expectations of the individual. The individual is the expert on their situation, and we meet people where they are by listening, strengthening with positive words, and always with respect.

Within AMI, there are several different professional categories. Labor market administrators who are responsible for mapping, ensuring that each individual has a work plan, government contacts, initiation and follow-up of internships, and subsidized employment within the municipality. Employment consultants are responsible for ensuring that all participants have a task and are aware of how it should be performed, that work plans are followed, planning of operations together with colleagues, providing feedback to both the individual and the labor market administrators on how it works, and not least having ongoing motivational conversations with the individual during the work.

Qualifications

You have an academic education/degree as a social worker, occupational therapist, primary school teacher in practical subjects, vocational teacher, or other education that the employer finds suitable. You may also have a background as a supervisor in practical professions that the employer finds suitable. We are looking for a person with suitable experience/education who wants to help teach practically. Part of the year, outdoor work may occur.

You should have faith in people, see opportunities rather than obstacles. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and are used to communicating with people in various situations and with different backgrounds. To succeed in the assignment, we are looking for a creative person with practical ability to inspire and teach. We are looking for someone with drive and commitment to develop the operations together with other employment consultants.

Our operations are run by employment consultants together with our participants, and you will need to be involved in all parts of the operations. This also means that you work to ensure we have a good and safe working environment. You have knowledge of collaborating authorities such as the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Region and their ways of working.

Furthermore, you can work independently as well as being used to working in a group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A B driver's license is a requirement as transportation is included in the position.
